Herbal Syrups, Honeys, & Cordials

Herbal syrups are more concentrated than teas (though less than tinctures) and keep for months if prepared correctly. You can make herbal syrups to promote health in a variety of ways: blood building, immune support, acute illness, etc. They can also be made alcohol free, which is great for kids, those in recovery, and folks who don't tolerate alcohol.

Honey isn't a great extractor, BUT it tastes good and can help the medicine go down. Vanilla and rose infused honey, anyone?

Cordials (also called elixirs) are made by adding adding alcohol to a syrup and can be used as digestive aids, heart tonics, or bedtime drinks. You can also add them to homemade cocktails!
